Ambassador Artur Wilczynski

H.E Ambassador Wilczynski has over 25 years of diverse senior leadership experience in the Government of Canada and currently serves as the Ambassador of Canada to Norway. Formerly, Ambassador Wilczynski was the Director of International Relations at Canadian Heritage where he played a pivotal role in negotiating the UNESCO Convention on Cultural Diversity and the Convention Against Doping in Sport. He also served as the Director General of International Affairs and Border Policy at Public Safety Canada, where he was responsible for developing the Department’s first International Strategic Framework to identify priorities and negotiated the Beyond the Border Declaration with the US Department of Homeland Security. Over the past eight years, Ambassador Wilczynski’s work has focused on national security, public safety issues, and counterterrorism and will be speaking about the importance of Norwegian-Canadian relations and its importance in developing bilateral policy and trade agreements.
