Hamza Farrukh is the founder of Bondh-E-Shams, which was founded under the auspices of the Davis Project for Peace as a bold, cost-effective, and sustainable solution to the global water crisis. The charity currently serves 10,000 Pakistanis in off-grid water deprived towns where locals used to walk up to 4+ hours every day to collect water before the solar water pumps were installed. Farrukh currently works in the Securities Division of Goldman Sachs as a Portfolio Solutions Strategist in London, United Kingdom. Previously, he worked as a Corporate Treasury Analyst at Goldman Sachs in New York, where he focused on Global liquidity risk management with a focus on LCR and NSFR regulatory frameworks. Farrukh was a Summer Fellow at the Monument Policy Group and a Summer Research Analyst at the State Bank of Pakistan.
